Bank of America Alaska Airlines Visa Business credit card review!
Updated: Dec 17, 2020

Background:
This is the Alaska Airlines credit card for businesses offered by Bank of America.
Annual Fee: $50, and $25 per extra employee card
What type of earning do I get?
3 miles per dollar on Alaska Airlines purchases.
1 mile per dollar on other purchases.
Benefits:
Alaska Companion Fare
· This reduces the base fare of ANY ticket to $99 with taxes of $22. Basically, you can get an Alaska Airlines ticket for $121 dollars. This can be extremely helpful when you are a couple and tickets to Hawaii are $500 per person. With the companion fare, you can get a ticket for just $121. This can bring a lot of value and easily offset the annual fee.
Free Checked Bag:
· This can be a life-saver. Any ticket, even basic economy, will qualify for a free checked bag if you have the Alaska Airlines credit card. Just tell the check-in agent, or when you use Alaska Airlines online, the system should automatically recognize you are a cardholder when you add your MileagePlus number to your reservation. This can be done easily online or during the check-in process!
Analysis:
This is the business version of the Alaska Airlines credit card. It’s a great option if you live in the West Coast where Alaska has hubs in Seattle, San Francisco, etc. The most value comes from the companion fare which can be a massive cost saver if used correctly.
The free checked bag is a good benefit as well, but cards like the Business Platinum provide airline fee credits which can also offset the benefit. At $50, this can be a good credit card just for the companion fare. I think this card offers value, but there are better cards out there that provide more value albeit for a higher annual fee.
